Week 4 dancing and planting

This week we have been continuing our Food theme looking at healthy and unhealthy foods. We have planted our beans and are watching them grow, making sure we look after them by watching them and giving them light.

We enjoyed our dance lesson; making different animal shapes and freezing into positions. We are getting much better at finding a space on our own and listening to instructions from another teacher.

We have been planting trees this afternoon. We have had 300 to plant and Reception have taken part in digging, planting and looking after our new trees. It will be a pleasure to watch them grow on the big field over the years.

A busy week in Reception

We have had a busy week in Reception. Practising our subtraction skills in Maths, writing our Mothers Day poems and thinking about someone special in Literacy and PSED,  and painting beautiful daffodil pictures for our Mothers.

Happy Mothers Day to all our Reception Mothers for Sunday!
We hope you like your treats and have a fun day.

Celebrating World Book Day! 3rd March

Happy World Book day from Reception!

We have had such a fun day sharing our favourite books for World Book Day. Well done to all children who have dressed up as their favourite characters and brought in their favourite books. It is so interesting to hear about them and for you to explain the plot and characters. Well done! All children have gone home with individual photographs of themselves dressed up and a class photograph.

Celebrating SMSC week! 22nd February

This week we have been celebrating SMSC week. We have experienced the multi-cultural markets, Chinese New Year and looked at how we can respect each other and the environment. Here are a few pictures:
